"Inside" is an original acrylic painting on paper, then adhered to a wood cradle (open-back box). This is an experimental painting. It began with saturating a small piece of thick handmade paper with watercolor paint. Then I ran a pattern wheel through the paper to poke lines of tiny holes in a design. Onto this I traced with acrylic paint an object I found on the ground while out walking one day; it's arch shape with cut-out rectangles appeals to me. I've included a picture of this object in the photos. I organized this experiment inside lines and color of acrylic paint.
The finished piece is sealed with a matte medium glaze and measures 9 by 12 inches. Wired and ready to hang.
