"Staged" from A Moment in Time*
The inspiration for this painting was an older drawing I did for artwork called "Three Figures". That artwork was an examination of how human beings give and take from each other. Because of the stage in my composition, I took note when I came across this quote from Shakespeare:
"Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more..."

*This is one of 15 paintings I completed for an exhibit with my art group in June 2019 at the Hoard Historical Museum in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. The theme of the show was "A Moment in Time".
