"Typed" from A Moment in Time*
The inspiration for this painting was the impressions on rice paper and canvas made from a collograph that I created with found objects glued to cardboard. These indentations helped my imagination shape and illustrate a story. I also used my father's vintage typewriter to type a few sentences from my memory. The type says:
"She watched the others and after some time she finally said, 'I’m not sure what I’m doing here…I’m a writer not an artist.' This was the typewriter that floated across the ocean in the bunk of a man in the military in WWII. He was a writer. But he didn’t type the stories in his mind; that might reveal something…"

With natural wood frame: $275 (measures 17.25 inches by 21.25 inches, 1.25 inch thickness )
*This is one of 15 paintings I completed for an exhibit with my art group in June 2019 at the Hoard Historical Museum in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. The theme of the show was "A Moment in Time".
