22" x 36.5" acrylic & graphite on board, framed in wood painted black.
This painting references a photograph taken by my husband, Bob Grant. His photo captured a cat looking out a window of a farm house. I took liberties with the background to create a lacy design inspired by the song "Memory" from the Broadway musical "Cats".
*I gave my 15-year old grandson a summer job uploading item data to my Etsy shop. He is an aspiring writer, so one of his duties was to write his thoughts about my artwork:
✒︎ Tybo’s Tall Tales*: This painting is of a super fat cat looking out the bars of the window Harry Potter style. The piece is probably called memory because the cat is remembering all the birds it used to be allowed to chase, and fish he used to catch, before it scratched it's owner, so they grounded him, and the only joy he had was his wet food. He grew fat and lazy, and now he just looks out the window, thinking about the glory days... to taste mouse blood one more time, ah.

I am so happy with my new painting "Memory". It is so interesting, and well done. The colors flow and the cat eyes actually appear real. It is the kind of painting that provokes one to look at it, pause and wonder. This is a wonderful addition to my collection. "Memory" is my 2nd original painting by this artist. So trust me when I say...her work is outstanding. On another note, the buying process was easy, the artist is fun and so easy to deal with, delivery was fast and packaging was excellent. 2 thumbs up, for sure!
