I was inspired by the doves that come to feast in my backyard on the seeds that other birds splash out of the feeders. It is peaceful to observe them, so gentle and kind. The leaf in this painting is one that I picked up on a walk some time ago. I carefully pressed it as it dried into its own sculptural structure. The perfect compliment to my doves' shapes.
*I gave my 15-year old grandson a summer job uploading item data to my Etsy shop. He is an aspiring writer, so one of his duties was to write his thoughts about my artwork:
