I was inspired to paint the original of this print by the doves that come to feast in my backyard on the seeds that other birds splash out of the feeders. They are so peaceful to observe; so gentle and kind. The leaf in this painting is one that I picked up on a walk some time ago. I carefully pressed it as it dried into its own sculptural structure. The perfect compliment to my doves' shapes.
*I gave my 15-year old grandson a summer job uploading item data to my Etsy shop. He is an aspiring writer, so one of his duties was to write his thoughts about my artwork:

Thanks for my sweet, kind of "mystic" art print. I'm very happy with the quality! The textures in the art, and the colors, are beautiful. Also, it's great to receive a perfect mat for the print. I already had a lovely vintage frame, so now I'm all set.
