An original painting by Barbara Grant. Acrylic on canvas stretched to 16 x 20 x 1/2 inch wood frame. Musical notes from our national anthem are painted onto the stripes of the American flag with a full spectrum color wheel across a map of the United States.
The natural wood outer frame (measures 17.25 inches by 21.25 inches, 1.25 inch thickness) protects the edges of the artwork in an attractive way. But it can be removed by screws from the back of the painting. Easily replaced to match your decor.
This is one of 15 paintings I completed for an exhibit with my art group, each of us creating our own version of "Freedom" with a focus on the American Flag. (June 2019 at the Hoard Historical Museum in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. The theme of the show was "A Moment in Time")
